my boyfriend want to sign the birth certificate for my baby but also want a dna test done on the baby, is there anyway to get a free dna test in texas? (other than by filing child support)
With the severe criminal and civil penalties the State Governments are imposing on its male citizens for child support, would part of due process be verification of paternity. They use this database for murder, why not for the life of both the child and parents. They could ID the actual father for the child's medical history and well being.
I was not looking to prove the guy in court, but to find the milkman so to speak. Some judges will stick the married man even though he is not the blood father.
Here's the real questions:
Does a paternity DNA test have to be or must be established before any attempt can be made to collect child support?
**Recieved a letter stating he owes child support but he hasn't been established as the father nor is he on the birth certificate.**
my partner got a ltr from the state of il saying he owes child support but hasnt ever proven he is the dad. who has to pay for paternity testing??Is that something that we have to have up front??
I live in Huntington Beach, CA.
Does anyone know of any for a CHEAP price?
I need it ASAP, so any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks in advance.
Also, my EX had the baby, the baby is 1 month old now.
Child support is not in the picture. So how much does it cost?
I am being harrassed by attorney general of another state , (Ca. ) for 10,000 in arrears for a child I do not have. I have never been to court. I never signed any papers of paternity. I do not even know the custodial person. One day the letters just started to arrive saying I owed child support.I have sent a mistaken identity form. I have been reported to credit bureaus, irs and ftp or something like that? I am being threatened with pay garnishings, income tax withholdings and property leins. Anyone else been through this?
Does anybody know how to find DNA results online? I live in Texas and are trying to find results and am having a little trouble...could somebody help please?
Wife filed for divorce and DNA disestablished paternity. I had been paying child support, and visitation twice per week. Now I lost the society of my child. Is she or the progenitor liable for tort because of the negligent emotional distress it caused me that I lost all rights including visitation with my child?
I am in Hawaii and one can sue a spouse.
These days, DNA test are easy to get and considered very accurate. In the case where the identity of the father is in question, a DNA test is pretty much the definitive decision maker, and can have huge financial impacts when you consider things like child support.
However, I'm curious how paternity was legally established, for purposes of child support, before DNA testing was available?
I have serious reasons to believe the baby may not be mine. Everyone else sees it too and says I should have a paternity test. I mean everyone. Realistically there's a 50/50 shot, but I need to know if I should go for joint custody or wash my hands of the whole mess. The more economical the solution the better as I am already a full time single father and full time student. Money is in short supply. Thanks for the advice.
I haven't signed anything but I believe she has listed me as the father. I haven't talked to her in several months but I know she is going to sue me for child support. If the baby is mine I will do what I have to do, but if not, I don't want to be responsible.
I would love to get a lawyer, but as I said, money is in short supply. I will miss many meals by going to court. If I have to, I guess I have to.
As far as the comment goes about keeping it in my pants, the ho... um... female in question is my ex wife. My daughter is from a previous relationship and her mother is in parts unknown. I can really pick em, huh?
