Well, I am thinking of taking a dna test. But i want to take it without my parents knowing. Cause I just want to know first. Like I dont want to hurt them too much. So, am i able to get a dna test without my parents knowledge and how?

I am tracking my paternal grandmother's ancestry and have hit a roadblock. I'd like to do dna testing to see, but I'm not sure which test would give me the correct results-admixture? Also, does it matter if it's a female or male descendant who does the test? Since they're expensive tests, I want to make sure we do it correctly! Thanks!

My daughters father is asking for a DNA test after 8 years though I do not mind giving him one if it means he will finally be a part of her life I cannot seem to find anywhere that we can walk into an office and have it done I don't want some home DNA kit that can easily be altered by swabbing someone else's mouth can anyone help locate a place In Illinois near St. Louis MO and in Virginia near Richmond ?

I need to get him to swab the inside of his mouth with a q-tip, some blood on a piece of cotton - some kind of DNA sample that I can take down to a company that will do a paternity test. I don't want him to know what its for. How could I get a DNA sample from him? What would I say?

Sex was with the same person in jan and in feb.. how accurate are the dna mouth swab test for paternity??

im looking to buy a paternity test kit online but when i search on yahoo for them there are so many! some promise free shipping, others fast results, etc, etc...
my question is have you or anyone you've known used a particular site that was reliable? i dont want to get ripped off because most of the test run for 99 bucks.
a referal would be great of whichever company/brand/site you used!
thanks!
and it doesnt need to be a test that i can use in court. its just for personal reasons.

Can anyone recommend a court worthy DNA paternity test company. I'm informed that the test must be 99.99% reliable, whatever that means.
