The baby has been born.
The "could-be" father of the baby just separated from the Navy and I assume he is now serving the required reserves time. I heard the Navy doesn't take too kindly to cheating spouses, especially with fellow members of the military. I also heard they would help with legal separation/divorce resulting from this. I'm searching this out for my son.

The father of my baby and I are not married to each other and so we need to have a paternity test done. How long after the birth do we wait to get one done?

Is this possible?
my father is deceased and im in a very heated court battle.

I live in the New York City area and I'm not trying to leave the state to further my education. I also wanna find good colleges for Forensics, Crime Scene Investigation, Social Work and Nursing. So far I got Hunter, John Jay, Adelphi and New York University in my mind....can you guys help me think of more college choices that would be good for these careers?
*Only New York colleges...thanks

No. I asked about the 'fees' for the paternity test not the test itself. I want the test but am curious if since I filed for a deferment of payment they would also defer the fee for the paternity test or if is not even in the courts jurisdiction.

DNA sibling test to see if my sister and I have the same father. I haven't seen any information about them outside their web site. Has anyone else used them?

my partner got a ltr from the state of il saying he owes child support but hasnt ever proven he is the dad. who has to pay for paternity testing??Is that something that we have to have up front??

I'm seeing these types of questions pop up more frequently. There are also numerous scams out there that can really rob people (taking the moms and alleged father's blood to find out paternity) FALSE.

Do you think the mother should wait, or do you think it is ok to go ahead and do a amnio or in-vitro?

When I was a child, a paternity test was performed on me in 1985. the results came out that the man that raised me was indeed my father but the testing was 85% chance. I don't know if an DNA or a blood type test was performed. My mom swears that the man that raised me could not be my father. I don't resemble him at all either. so my question is, when did people start using DNA to prove paternity and can the results be wrong?

What are the conditions or other evidences to prove that your marriage is for real. If for example, you married a US citizen woman and she got pregnant. Does that automatically win you a greencard renewal for 10 yrs? Or would the US govt still require a DNA test to prove if the baby is really from the couple.
