I would really like to know if the husband of the woman who just gives birth to the baby can do this.Get a paternity test done in the hospital without the mother even knowing about it?
If a husband does get it done will it be on the birth records or the hospital records or not?
Another thing to add. I ask this because 2 yrs ago when our baby was born they did some blood tests on her heel to test for infections and if she can digest protein, but they made a big deal and would not let me watch even though it did not affected me at all to see it they treated me like I had to be out of the room and only let my husband be in there with the baby.

Hypothecticly

If me and my pregnat g/f broke up and I didnt want anything to do with her baby. She cant have a Judge force me into a DNA test right?

As the title shows. I need to verify weather or not I am the father of a newborn that a woman claims I am. It is possibly true, on the other hand, it may be false. Is getting this done possible without getting a lawyer, she doesn't seem receptive to getting this done voluntarily. Why should I get a lawyer if I'm just going to end up getting a court-ordered standard child support payment plan if it is mine. Unless they can help lower my payments, I don't see what more they can do for me - just another expense. If they can help me in ways I can't accomplish myself, about how much would it cost?

Okay, I'm very, very young and I need these informations for the book I'm writing:

-What is the paternity test and in which month can you take it (if you can take it while you're pregnant)?
-Oh, and low long does a woman give birth (I mean like from the moment she starts pushing till the moment baby is out)? Is it minutes or hours?
-Any other pregnancy information welcome...

Okay, so I need the first question for my book and the second is just curiosity. I'm 15 and I plan on being pregnant in like 10 years or so, but I'm still so frightened of giving birth. On TV it looks so, so, so scary...
